overnight activities...

...overnight activities provide little or no sleep, and yet
offer great fellowship and fun for youth. overnights also
provide challenges and important safety rules are
needed for their success.

• overnight activities MUST have at least one certified
male and one certified female adult over 18 per 15 youth
at all times to be in compliance with cumc and kansas
east conference protection policies. there MUST also
be a 5 to 1 ratio of youth to adults.

• although in most cases little sleep is had, separate
male and female sleeping arrangements are required
with both genders sleeping in different designated areas
of the church or activity center.

• respect to personal belongings, good health practices,
and respect for each other are important to the future of
additional overnight gatherings.

• once you arrive at an overnight activity, you may not
leave unless you check out with one of the adult leaders
and are picked up visibly by your parent or pre-approved
adult.
